Do you ever catch yourself anxious about the future or depressed about the past ? It seems that we spend much of our life worrying about these periods of time and it robs us of the peace we have a chance to have each and every day.
There is a great quote by A.J. Cronin that says – “Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow; it only saps today of its strength.”
How true is this statement? We find ourselves fretting in advance so that bad news won’t be so hard to deal with if it does comes, but really we are focusing on something that there is a very good chance will never happen.
Living in the moment is a lesson, which appeared several times in my life before I was willing to pay attention to it. On several occasions – I was told to “Seize Each Day” or “Live in the Moment” and I would say – “yeah yeah”. But as I began to recognize how many hours and days, I had wasted on “stinking thinking” – I began to take notice of my life !
I realized that each moment of the day is special and to be aware of all that life was offering to me. I found – living in the present teaches us that we are here for a reason and to enjoy all the experiences brought to us.
By living each moment – I found a peace that words cannot describe.
My hope for each of you is to welcome the moment of each day !
With Love and Gratitude, Jen
